DCYSA U9 SPORTSTUTOR LIGERS ARE STATE CHAMPS!
May 18, 2008 - The Ligers rolled past the Bluegrass Soccer Club by a score of 7-1 to win the first State Championship for a DCYSA team. On Saturday, the Ligers first defeated Louisville Soccer Alliance 3-0 and the Thoroughbreds White 4-1 to win the bracket. The U9 boys faced Lexington FC Premier in the semi-final and won 3-1.
U9 LIGERS ARE U9 PREMIER CHAMPS IN LOUISVILLE CUP
April 27, 2008 - The DCYSA Ligers U9 Boys went undefeated in the 2008 Louisville Cup - Premier division. On Saturday the Ligers played Javanon White and Mockingbird White - winning both games by the score of 3 to 1. On Sunday the Ligers secured their title by eliminating the Nelson Elite Force by a score of 6 to 2.
U9 LIGERS WIN OWENSBORO UNITED SPRING CUP U10 DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP
April 20, 2008 - The U9 Ligers started their 2008 Spring Tournament play by participating in the Owensboro United Spring Cup. They played up in the U10 Division and went undefeated in pool play - knocking off the Henderson Flash, Jasper Explosion, Louisville Mockingbird and Clarksville Impact. The Ligers faced Owensboro United in the Championship game. The Ligers won an exciting game by a score of 5 to 3.
DCYSA U9 LIGERS TEAMS FINISH 2ND & 3RD IN WKU FUTSAL TOURNAMENT
January 12, 2008 - The U9 Ligers were represented by two teams, Green & Yellow, in the 5th Annual Western Kentucky University Futsal Tournament and finished in second and third place, respectively, while competing against U10 and U11 teams. In the championship game, the Ligers Green team went to to overtime against last year's champs, U10 MUSA Dynamo, before losing on a golden goal. The Ligers Yellow team faced another U10 MUSA Dynamo team in the third place game and won on penalty kicks.

U10 LADY STING WIN WKONA CLASSIC
May 5, 2008 - The DCYSA U10 Lady Sting went undefeated in Bowling Green, KY in the WKONA Classic. Sting scored 29 goals and did not give up a goal in games played against the Owensboro United Red, Clarksville Lady Impact, Barren River SC Lady Keltics and the SKY SC Blue.
U10 LADY STING ARE WHITE HOUSE SPRING CLASSIC CHAMPIONS
March 16, 2008 - The DCYSA U10 Lady Sting 98 traveled to White House, TN for the Spring Classic and returned to Owensboro with the “Champions” title in hand. During a weekend with less than hospitable weather, the girls used teamwork, a can do attitude and superior soccer skill to control the action scoring 16 goals while only surrendering 2 goals for the entire weekend. The Lady Sting tied TN United Blue and defeated the SWISA Lady Lightning, TN United Red and Brentwood Soccer Club teams.
